Guitar chords …What are they?

I’m sure you’ve heard the term before, but what does it mean? What is a chord? We learned that “comments” or “tone” is basically any sound that will make your guitar. Why is it important chords?

* Remember: top line is the highest string sounds closest to the floor by playing the guitar. The bottom line is low (thickest) string guitar.

This is the “Tab” for the “Outdoor E chord, very common chord on guitar.

Note: 0 means play the line open without holding any frets.

Notice how the notes are stacked on top of each other? This means to play them at the same time! When they are written from left to right, and then you play them one by one … Thus melody line. When they are placed as they are played at the same time, thus “Chord”!

So for this chord, just have to hold the fret # 2 two rows below row low ….I suggest using your middle finger and ring finger on next, and then you realize that the next line says fret # 1 and your index finger is right here! It’s always important to consider the best fingering for chords, as they will help you play them easily and navigate between them faster.

Another tip: try to imagine, doing so much “claw” as you can with your fingers, so that none of your fingers touch other strings. This can turn those notes and a very common mistake people make when first starting to play guitar chords.

There are only three frets and 3 strings played by “open”. Hopefully now you fully understand what an open chord-have some easier playing the e chord. This is not for beginners chord and is very popular in all styles of music especially rock ‘n’ roll and blues.
